iPhone Ringtones

Jailbreak: Installing AppSnapp Installer on 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 firmware

Only do this if you do NOT have "Installer" on your phone's desktop

  1. On iPhone Safari, visit http://jailbrakeme.com
  2. Install AppSnapp
  3. Your phone will reboot, then you will have an application called "Installer" on your phones desktop

Jailbreak: 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4 phones

You can use ziPhone (www.ziphone.org) to jailbreak/unlock your phone. It's super easy to use :)

One warning though:

if you have not already jailbroken/unlocked your phone, this does technically void your Apple warranty.

It's up to you to decide if it's worth doing but one of the founders of OwnYourPhone swears by it—Adam has T-Mobile on his iPhone and loves it.

The Apps available in the community sources are awesome and he wouldn't have purchased the iPhone in the first place if he couldn't get them (some of his favorites: Chess, iPhysics, iFlix - Netflix manager, NES emulator, RSS reader, Navizon--way better GPS, and lots of games).

Anyway, it's the only way currently known to get non-Apple DRM ringtones working on the iPhone.

We can't give you tech support or take responsibility for iPhone unlocking or jailbreaking but ziPhone has a good reputation and has worked flawlessly for the us.

If you encounter any issues with jailbreaking the phone, www.modmyiphone.com is a great resource.
